Tame. Dated. Mediocre.
The new enigmatic kid in town, Morgan Hiller (Spader), runs afoul of a local street gang while falling in love with their leader’s girl. Wears its era blatantly, and I find that to be its strength and weakness; punk rock music, leather jackets, mesh shirts, too-big hair. It’s all here. Fortunately, the acting from the leads is good. Spader, Downey Jr., and Richards all give solid turns, but the acting from the gang members is a different story. The teen romance element is its main pleasure.
