(9-Great Film)

Fantastic. Entertaining. Lasting.

Melanie Griffith plays Tess McGill, a smart, driven, attractive secretary who aspires for more. Unfortunately for her, she’s not taken seriously. After her two-faced boss (Weaver) is laid up with a skiing injury, Tess asserts herself into a high stakes business deal, leading her to handsome executive, Jack Trainer (Ford). Everything about this thoroughly eighties romantic comedy works wonderfully. It’s a modern fairy tale with a strong central performance. Habitually watchable.
