Starring Natasha Lyonne, Alan Arkin, Carl Reiner, Marisa Tomei, David Krumholtz, Jessica Walter, Rita Moreno
Tough comedy set in the ’70s about a teenage girl drifting with her family from one motel to another as she copes with puberty. Alan Arkin is terrific as the single father; deeply flawed, funny, sad. All the actors are excellent. Plenty of laughs. Also some uncomfortable moments. Ultimately a satisfying film.
