I believe Sammy Bagel Jr., a character in the movie voiced by Edward Norton doing a tremendous Woody Allen impression, says it best when he says, “I’m very conflicted about how I’m supposed to feel watching this.” That line precedes the film’s most outlandish scene, a graphic food orgy. The sauerkrauts speak with German accents and hate “juice,” the hot dog buns resemble vaginas, and a feminine hygiene product acts extremely douchey throughout the movie. If you find these things funny, you will probably like this film. I found it more clever-as much as something this juvenile can be deemed clever-than funny. Didn’t laugh out loud like I did with, say, Superbad. Can be offensive if taken too seriously. Just try to remember it’s a talking hotdog movie.
