Adaptation of Ira Levin’s meta-murder mystery play starring Michael Caine as a washed up playwright who contemplates murdering a pupil (Reeve) and stealing his work. Cannon plays Caine’s wealthy spouse who refuses to believe he could do it. Naturally twists and suspense ensue, ultimately leading to an ironic finish.
