Starring Jason Bateman, Jane Fonda, Tina Fey, Corey Stoll, Adam Driver, Rose Byrne, Kathryn Hahn, Connie Britton

Bateman, dealing with the end of his marriage, meets with his dysfunctional family for his father’s funeral. Each member has his/her own problems, and by the film’s end, they all get wrapped rather tidily. There’s a lot of R-rated material in what was a pretty conservative film plot. It makes the film feel tone deaf. Not as much fun as it should be, or else not as serious as it should be.
